Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

So I received this product complimentary from Bzzagent.
I tried it and I loved it. It's said to repair 7 signs of damage such as dryness, chapping, splitting nails, dry cuticles, scaliness and roughness. It was also awarded with 2012 Good Housekeeping Seal Award. It's said to keep manicured hands looking beautiful and last longer. My sister has eczema and tends to have really rough dry skin. I decided to do her nails and first started off with clean polished hands. She put some Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream to help with her cuticles and rough skin. She loved it. She thought it was really soft and it didn't burn her dry hands like vaseline tends to do. Once it was all absorbed I began doing her nails. The result was nice. I hope this helps her rough dry hands and splitting nails and maybe even the eczema on her arms. As well as aiding in having her manicure last longer. In the picture you can see the instruments in the background. We play guitar, drums, bass and piano. The guitar and bass tend to chip our nail polish and also cause splitting nails. Hopefully this helps our manicure last longer and our cuticles stay healthier.

Thanks Bzzagent for the product.

Pantene® Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip

I got a sample of the Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip complimentary from Vocalpoint. Go check out Vocalpoint! (Click on the picture and it will take you directly to the site.)
The Pantene Pro-V Silky Moisture Whip is said to erase the damage of 100 blow-drys.
I don't really blow dry my hair. I usually straighten it, bleach it and dye it. Nevertheless I have very damaged hair! I tried it out and I absolutely loved it! It left my tangled damaged hair very smooth and manageable.
I was afraid it was going to feel like mousse and leave film residue but it didn't leave any unpleasant residue on my hair.

The Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue

So I just received this Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue box complimentary from Influenster (click on the logo to go directly to their site.)

I have really damaged hair thanks to constant bleaching and dying and straightening. This is perfect for me. I just got out of the shower and used this. First things I noticed:

  • This smells divine! I adore and have a civil union with the smell.
  • This helps with dandruff. I don't have much but sometimes after bleaching can be very harsh to my scalp and causes flakes.
  • Usually after showering a couple of strands fall out but it didn't with this shampoo & conditioner.
  • This did help with my dry scalp though.
I am excited for the end results of these products n.n

UPDATE 12.18.12: I've been using this for 6 days now. It said it was safe for color treated hair but it made my hair go pink. I don't mind pink so I'm ok with it. But if you have freshly dyed hair I wouldn't really recommend this unless you want to strip the color off. I'm not sure if it's safe for natural colors like auburn, brown and black dyed hair but for semi-permanent dyes this isn't what you're going to want to use. My hair smells great but it doesn't look significantly better. It feels stronger and my hair to the touch pretty much feels the same. We'll see after 10 days what this does to my hair overall.
UPDATE 12.25.12 Merry Christmas everyone. My final review for the Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue will be concluded today.
Well at first I had high hopes. My hair in the end just felt really dry and became very hard to comb and it was constantly tangled. I had to return to my normal shampoo and conditioner. My hair doesn't LOOK significantly better but it does FEEL softer. Like I said before I wouldn't recommend this for someone with colored hair (semi-permanent colors) because it will strip the color right off. My hair is currently pink. For the sake of reviewing and using this product I didn't redye so I could keep using the product to see it's overall affect on my hair. Overall I give it a 3/5.
Thanks Influenster for the chance to try out The Head & Shoulders Damage Rescue shampoo & conditioner.

Nightdrive Music.

There's one song that I can't help but blast every time I go for a drive.
I absolutely love this song! Its been on repeat nearly everyday for a like 3 months. Oh my.
Teenage Crime is just a great song by Adrian Lux!
Another nightdrive fave. is Anoraak Nightdrive with you
Anoraak has been my fave. for as long as I can remember. I discovered him a while back when listening to College, Electric Youth, Lifelike and Tesla Boy (among many others).
The last nightdrive song I'll leave you with is Collect Call by Metric.

This remix was done by Montreal based Adventure Club. They honestly make some of the best remixes I've heard.
Enjoy!

NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner

received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster. (click on logo to go directly to their site.)

This is probably one of the best drugstore eyeliners. It doesn't smudge and lasts all day! I have been wearing it since 9:30 a.m and it's nearly 8p.m. and the eyeliner hasn't smudged and it's still dark. I love it!
The glitter shimmer has almost completely faded but that isn't too shabby for something that has been worn for almost the entire day.
The NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner is precise and when first applied it vamps your look with a dark shimmery impact. It's a great product!
Check out all of NYC's products at their website: http://newyorkcolor.com/

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure

I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster.(click on logo to go directly to their site.)

I honestly don't ever like fake or press-on nails and decals etc.
But Broadway nails are really cute and easy and last long!
The above picture shows me wearing WINK WINK by Broadway Nails, imPRESS Press-On Manicure.
The only problem I had with them was that they look too fake sometimes so I'd suggest the press-on nails that are one single color. They are really nice, and easy to work with. You won't have trouble typing, doing dishes, putting on your jeans etc. They are cute and fast. You will need to file your nails for best results.
Check out other designs at http://impressmanicure.com/

Owls

I will be drinking plenty of hot chocolate or "café" from this adorable "taza" that I bought<3
Owls are absolutely adorable!

Covergirl: Blast flipstick

My package arrived!I received 3 flipsticks to review from Bzzagent. (click on logo to go directly to their site)

I am not a lipstick girl. I'm a lip balm and lipgloss type of girl. I don't really like lip sticks but these are AMAZING. I absolutely adored them! Each flipstick has a creamy side and a shimmery side. The shimmery side creates another dimension to your lips. Resulting in fuller, glossy beautiful lips! You can mix the shades to create your one of a kind look! I will be buying more, these will be my new obsession!
I received #820 Vixen

It gave a light pearly pink shimmer that I adored! A light creamy burgundy with pearl pink shades! So pretty!
I also received #840 Stunner
This is a great summer, spring, fall or winter look! It has bright pink and golden shades. This picture doesn't bring it justice to the gold shades but they are so pretty! I absolutely loved stunner! This is a must-have.
The last flipstick I received is #855 Minx
This is a dark classy autumn look. I loved it! It complimented my red hair very nicely. It's a deep brown with golden shades! It will complete your autumn look!

Dino Lingo:French learning for kids - le français

I just watched the cutest video to learn french for kids. Dino Lingo creates language learning programs for kids.
It's colorful and interactive and you don't have to be guessing what the characters are saying in french because the events and situation is very clear. I love it! It's great for kids that have a short attention span because it really grasps their attention.
Dino Lingo would be a great way to get your kids or you to learn a new language!

The Legend of Zelda: Link

I was inspired by one of my fave. games and decided to make my own Link charm which i wear on a necklace:)
It kinda big. It was difficult to make it took me about 1 hour to complete. His cap was the most difficult to craft into his hair and head.
Nonetheless, I adore The Legend of Zelda and Link is my fave. character.

College Voxbox Review #1

So I barely have like an hour or so with the college voxbox but I had to try out some stuff!

The Pentel Energel-x pen is a good pen. Rate: 10/10 I can't say its anything special. It is a good pen and for $1.90 its pretty great:) I wish the black ink was darker though.

The NYX New York Color Show Time Glitter Pencil:
Rate: 8/10
I got mine in 944 Show Time Black. It's suppose to leave a metallic sparkling effect. It does leave a very faint metallic sparkle but not anything very sparkly. It does though stay on for a long time and it DOES NOT smudge whatsoever. I marked my hand with it and I washed my hands and tried to smudge it and nothing the clean straight line stayed, which is pretty amazing n.n

Necco Tropical Wafers:
Rate: 7/10
The banana mango is kinda gross to me. Reminds me of Tums.
Lime: is ehhhh....o.o
Passion Fruit: reminds me of soap. sorry.
The Coconut is DELICIOUS though!!! And I'm not a big fan of coconut. Ironic!
The rest are pretty good. :)
please ignore my colorful mario background :o

Influenster: College Voxbox 2012

I was chosen to get the College Voxbox 2012.
In the box I received:

  • ImPress Press-On Manicure ($5.99 for colors, $7.99 for patterns)
  • NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner Pencil ($2.49 per pencil)
  • Necco Tropical Wafers
  • Pentel EnerGel-X ($1.90 per pen)
  • Energy Sheets ($5.95 per pack of 10sheets)
I will be reviewing each of these products very soon. Thanks Influenster!

Hair. Cabello. Haar.

I've  dyed my hair a lot of colors. For anyone reading this wanting to know the best products for their hair please continue reading. This is MY OPINION.
The above pic is when I dyed my hair blue and purple. (The Jack Skellington Necklace was made my me as well)
Blue: Jerome Russell Punk Colour #1434 Lagoon Blue mixed with Jerome Russell Punky Colour #1440 Turquoise.
I would mix them because the color would stay longer mixed with turquoise then when using lagoon blue alone.
Purple: Splat Lusty Lavender

I cropped my face out n.n This is my current hair color n.n
Red: Jerome Russell Punky Colour #1420 Poppy Red Mixed with Splat's Luscious Raspberries.

As you can see I LOVE Jerome Russell. His products last the longest and smell good and I feel they don't damage my hair as much as Splat.

I cropped my face out n.n This was the first time I dyed it pink. A couple of years back.
Pink: Beyond the Zone Color Jamz Bubble head pink with Tish & Snooky's Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink.
This color WILL fade fast! It will stay this pink for 2 days max and will keep fading to lighter cottoncandy pink after every wash. *NOTE: i always use color protecting shampoo and conditioner*

I'm too lazy to add the rest of the pictures of all the colors I've had.

The semi-permanent hair dyed I've tried are Splat, Manic Panic, Beyond the Zone, Jerome Russell and N Rage.
If you change your hair color constantly then I'd recommend Beyond the Zone and Manic Panic. They fade the fastest and not necessarily to ugly colors just a lighter/pastel color.
If you like keeping your hair vibrant then I'd recommend Jerome Russell.

None of these products have made MY hair fall out or anything crazy. The color protecting shampoo & conditioner that have worked the best for me is Tresemme :) I've used Garnier, Fekkai, John Frieda, Suave etc. Tresemme is the one that I like the most and has worked the best for ME.

Colors only pop out like in the pictures if you bleach your hair first n.n
I hope this at least helped someone:)
I've had my hair red, purple, green, blue, orange, blonde, and pink.

DIY Skeleton Print Shirt

I acknowledge I should have posted this earlier.
You will need:

  • Fabric paint. Any color you desire. (I mixed gray, sky blue and white.)
  • Needle (no sewing involved so don't get your knickers in a knot)
  • A painfully boring black tee/tank etc.
  • Cardboard or something sturdy.

I had a boring black spaghetti tank. Utterly boring and bland. It was Halloween Eve and so I decided to pimp it out. Since I'm not the best artist I printed out a skeleton stencil.
http://smg.beta.photobucket.com/user/girl_anachronism/media/ribs.gif.html?filters%5bterm%5d=recent&filters%5bprimary%5d=images
Above is the link to the stencil I used. If you can find a better one or another design your heart desires feel free to use it so.
With a craft blade I cut it out to make the stencil. Be careful. I almost cut my finger off while doing this. Clumsy me.
I secured the stencil over my shirt by pinning it with needles. That way it wouldn't budge.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Place the cardboard or whatever you have that is sturdy (and wont let the paint run through the fabric staining the back) underneath the first layer of your shirt. so again...it won't stain the back.
Once this is done. Just paint away. Be free birdy!
Once you're finish painting away like a madwoman. Let it dry.
Once dry you can't slowly remove the stencil  and cardboard.

I did mess up a bit. I was going a little too crazy when painting. Toodles~

Paper Flower #1

Hello Muffins, Wilkommen zu meinen Blog! I'm not sure if that's how you even say it.

This will be a "place" where I can rant, vent as well as express my creative side where no ugly criticism or judgement will go against me...at least I think.

I will be posting whatever I feel like. Anything from crafts to music to maybe plumbing!...No no dismiss that I don't know anything about plumbing.

Toodles!-
