VEET EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit

Here is my honest review on the VEET EasyWax  Electrical Roll-On Kit.
I got the kit complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.
WARNING: There will be LEG HAIR in the pictures.

To test out this product I had to first try it. I tried it 3 different times. The first times I only waited a week for hair growth and the wax didn't remove anything whatsoever. The second time I waited 2 weeks and still very little hair got removed. This time I waited 3 weeks and it finally removed some hair. My aunt was visiting and decided to try out this kit with me. She hadn't shaved for a little over a month.

Let's begin.

The kit comes with everything you need. (All the pictures are mine)

It comes with wax, and electrical charger, the roll on stick, waxing strips and instructions.

The first thing you do is heat the roll on stick. The instructions say to leave it heating for about 30 minutes, it never seems to work for me, so I leave it on for 45 mins to an hour.

Photo of my leg covered in Veet wax.
Once it's ready slide the roll on stick and cover the area you want to wax.
Get a good amount of wax in the area so the strip has more to hold on to.

Next step is to place the strip on the area you are going to wax.
Place it firmly onto your leg and smooth the strip so it's firmly gripped to the area.

Finally, pull up firmly and remove strip.

This is my hair strip. It didn't remove everything completely or evenly.

I personally liked this product even though it didn't remove my hair evenly. I liked it because all other products I've used for hair removal are awful. I didn't like that you had to wait so long just to wax but if you want your skin to be smooth and hair-free for a long time than this is the product for you.

My aunt had a better experience. She had month old hair.

Her strip removed evenly and visibly all the hair in the area!
Obviously this product really does work you just have to let your hair grow!

Because of her experience I like this product.
The con is the waiting period to let your hair grow but I think it's worth the wait.

Urban Decay Mariposa Palette

The Urban Decay Mariposa Palette is probably one of my favorite palettes from Urban Decay. Most of the palettes' colors are deep tones that are great for a night out or evening. You can definitely pat them lightly to soften their look or pack them on for a more intense build up of the color!

I will review this product based off of 5 things. 1. Packaging 2. Price 3. Longevity (Durability, easily smudged etc.) 4. Colors (Vibrancy, opaque, color variety, easy to blend etc.) 5. Texture

1. Packaging *Note: All the photos are mine*

I absolutely love the mariposa tin the colors are in! It is very beautiful! Once you're through with the palette or depot the colors you can definitely make use out of the very pretty mariposa tin! The tin reminds me of the same material as the Naked Palette 2 tin. It's sturdy except the lid to open the tin is really annoying. It takes effort to open it, I'm not sure if just mine came too tight but I find myself having to tug hard to open it. What's beneath the tin is a mariposa cardboard box. It's really cute! I love the color purple plus it matches the inside of the tin.

2. Price
This is currently on sale at the Urban Decay site for only $12 while the original is $39. I believe some sites are still selling at original price so if you want to buy this head on over to the Urban Decay site! It's definitely worth the price! UPDATE** Urban Decay is currently out of stock on the Mariposa Palette!:(
The
Fill Weight: 10 x 0.8g e 10 x 0.03 US oz according to the Urban Decay site. Which is not bad at all for $12 but a little steep in my book for $39.

3. Longevity

Some colors seem to last longer than others. Colors like Limelight, Spotlight, Wreckage, Gunmetal and Mushroom are deeper tones and tend to not smudge as easily as Haight and Infamous, yet they are easily blended. Most of the colors are very creamy and shimmery so they do smudge and can be wiped off with more ease if not used with a good primer or if you tend to have really oily eyelids.

4. Colors
Let's get into it! Bring in the swatches!

From left to right: Rockstar. Gunmetal. Skimp. Infamous. Wreckage
Rockstar: is an intense deep aubergine tone. (Aubergine = Eggplant color)
Gunmetal: dark grey with metallic and silver undertones
Skimp: To me this is a more shimmery version of Foxy from the Naked 2 palette. It's sort of a nude peachy cream color.
Infamous: a vivid fuchsia in between a matte and shimmer
Wreckage: a medium taupe color with gold undertones
From left to right: Limelight. Spotlight. Mushroom. Money. Haight.
Limelight: a gold bronze
Spotlight: a medium shimmery copper chocolate
Mushroom: an ashy gray
Money: pale gray green
Haight: a vibrant pigmented blue

All the colors in this palette are shimmery none are truly matte. The deep tones are very rich and colors like Infamous and Haight are vibrant. The vibrant tones seem to be the most opaque.  This palette has good variety but I wouldn't say these are spring colors. The colors are more for fall or winter. It has 2 playful colors but the rest are deep rich warm neutrals except Skimp which is a creamy peach nude color. Nonetheless the colors are versatile, if applied more softly you can achieve a warm sultry summer look.
5. Texture
Since mainly all the colors are shimmery and creamy the texture is very soft and smooth. Making it easy to blend on the lid. Even the vibrant colors, Haight and Infamous, are smooth and don't go on too powdery.

*Extras*

The only extra is this very small shadow brush. It's cute but not very useful. You can get around tight areas more easily but I wouldn't do an entire eye look with this.

I hope I helped anyone looking into buying this palette with useful information.

Naked 2 Palette Review

FINALLY my Naked 2 Palette Review!

I have tested this product out for 26 weeks! I can now provide you with an honest review.

I absolutely LOVE neutral and warm colors!

I will review this product based off of 5 things. 1. Packaging 2. Price 3. Longevity (Durability, easily smudged etc.) 4. Colors (Vibrancy, opaque, color variety, easy to blend etc.) 5. Texture

Let's begin!

1. Packaging (*All the pictures are mine*)
My camera makes the tin look yellow when it's actually medium brown color. It was night time when I took this photo and my lighting is just terrible.

It comes with a crease & shadow brush. As well as a lip junkie lip gloss.
The packaging is really cute and classy. The material feels very sturdy and tin-like but not tacky sort of like an art student's tray. What is underneath the tin is a cardboard like box. In back of the box are photos of the shadows and their names. I really like the color of the packaging it's a medium coffee color, that's the best I can describe the color.

2. Price
The price for this palette is pretty steep. Note though that there are 12 colors in the palette so it's not too shabby.
The net weight of the shadows according to the Urban Decay site is Fill Weight: Eyeshadow: 12 x 1.3g e 12 x 0.05 US oz. This is usually around the basic amount of product you get with many eyeshadows.

The price for this palette at the Urban Decay site is $50 a pop.
Bonanza has the Naked 2 Palette selling for $37 a pop.
Most sites have the Naked 2 Palette selling at $50 such as ULTA and Sephora.
Other sites have them going a bit cheaper like Bonanza and some sellers on Amazon.

I personally didn't buy this, my amazing bf gave this to me as a Christmas gift!
I've read many blogs that have talked about how the Naked 2 palette has many dupes. Some even very cheap affordable drugstore dupes! My advice is if you already have many of the colors don't buy it, save your money.

It's a very lovely palette and I personally didn't have many neutral or warm colors so for me it was a win win!

3. Longevity

I use this palette every day. Especially the color, Bootycall, which MAC has a dupe called Shroom and Wet N Wild's trio, Walking on eggshells has a dupe for Bootycall.
Most of the colors are very creamy and easy to blend, but surprisingly they aren't easily smudged. I'd use the palette to the Uni and they'd last me from early morning 'til late afternoon. They do not smudge easily and they don't tend to crease until after more than 4 hours.
4. Colors!!
So thanks to this palette I have my favorite neutral color which is Bootycall. (Again, MAC has a dupe called Shroom and Wet N Wild's trio, Walking on eggshells has a dupe for Bootycall.)

It is a gorgeous solid palette so it has soft neutrals to more daring darker tones. It has some matte colors like Foxy, Tease and Blackout. The rest are more shimmery, creamy easily blended colors (which I prefer).

Let's see the colors!
NOTE: I did finger swatches because I'm a pretty fair skinned girl and the color Foxy would just blend right in to my skin and you couldn't see it whatsoever! My fingers and palm of my hands are more pink so I decided to showcase the colors there.

1. Foxy: This color is a nude matte shade. It's gorgeous and easily blended.

2. Half Baked: This is a shimmery golden light brown color

3. Bootycall: a very pearlescent shimmery pink! I love it!

4. Chopper: a light shimmery copper color with golden flecks

5. Tease: a beautiful matte purple gray sort of taupe with red undertones

6. Snakebite: a deep shimmery golden brown

7. Suspect: shimmery gray

8. Pistol:  in between matte and shimmery medium gray

9. Verve: a shimmery chrome color with pink coral flecks

10. YDK: shimmery bronze with golden coral flecks

11. Busted: a matte gray with dark plum undertones

12. Blackout: Matte black. Super beautiful!

Swatches: Order from left to right: Foxy. Half Baked. Booty Call. Chopper. Tease. Snakebite. Suspect. Pistol. Verve. YDK. Busted. Blackout.

5. Texture

The texture of the shimmery colors are very rich and creamy. The matte colors are soft, not too powdery and extremely pigmented and opaque.

*EXTRAS*
UD throws in a crease & shadow brush
which I personally like. I understand the crease brush might not be some people's cup of tea but it's not too bad.

UD also throws in a Lip Junkie lip gloss which I absolutely love! Here's a swatch!
Told you my skin was pretty fair toned.
It's a lovely light coral pink color!

Overall this is a very complete solid palette with great soft neutrals and dark tones!
Hope this helped anyone looking into buying the Naked 2 Palette!
